Councilmember Kathy Dittemore
Councilmember Kathy Dittemore was elected to council to replace a member who moved from the city in the middle of their term and then was reelected in 2022. Ms. Dittemore has lived in Spartanburg County her entire life and has lived in Inman since 1998. She is married to Ken Dittemore, and they share four children and numerous grandchildren.
Dittemore enjoys her retirement and loves spending time with her family and friends. She travels frequently and loves visiting local merchants and also enjoys crafting.
Professional and Educational Background
Ms. Dittemore attended Dorman High School and graduated in 1973. From there, she worked full time and attended Wyatt Real Estate School and then worked as a realtor. After that, Dittemore worked as a paralegal from 1978 until her retirement in June of 2021. She also attended Spartanburg Community College and obtained an EMT license and used that to volunteer with Croft Fire Department. She has always had a passion for serving others.
Ms. Dittemore is also a graduate of the Municipal Elected Officials Institute.
Community Involvement
Ms. Dittemore is a frequent visitor to local businesses in Inman and works to be the voice of the residents and business owners in Inman. She also participates in our monthly clean up days.
